To open Captive Bead Ring you will need a Ring Opener or for big gauges Large ring opener. Also to close the ring you will need Ring Closing Pliers or for big gauges Large Closing Pliers. Those tools are not needed if you are buying acrylic rings. They can be easily opened and closed by hands.
